Shant Filo  R.Ac
Registered Acupuncturist and Applied Mindfulness Meditation Specialist

I’m a Registered Acupuncturist practicing for 18 years and in good standing with my profession’s respective college.  My post-secondary schooling began at University of Toronto where my undergraduate studies included Cell and Molecular Biology and Human Physiology.  I continued my education at the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Centre to obtain a Diplomate in Acupuncture.  I have been personally trained by Dr. Richard Tan in the “Balance Method”, a revolutionary acupuncture diagnosis and treatment protocol. I’m also an Applied Mindfulness Meditation Specialist through the University of Toronto.

Both John and I strongly believe in a mind – body approach to healing.  Over the last two decades, we have combined specific Acupuncture and Chiropractic techniques to help patients get out of pain naturally and off pain meds.  We stress the importance of mindfulness with our patients and believe that true healing only happens when we become conscious of our own patterns.  Our thought patterns, our behavioural patterns and our emotional patterns.  As a society, if we truly want to tackle the epidemic of chronic pain, mental illness, stress and anxiety, we must first awaken and be conscious of our own patterns.  Healing happens from within and we are here to simply guide you through the process.
